House of Waterford Crystal Maritana 14in Vase, Limited Edition of 200
The lavishly cut and scalloped vase was inspired by the operetta, Maritana, written in 1845 by Waterford-born composer William Vincent Wallace. The rosette decorations and the close vertical wedge cuts suggest the lavish velvet that draped theaters in which Maritana was performed. To represent the stage lights that illuminated the performances, rows of strawberry diamond cuts ascend the body of this magnificent vase.
